One thing we are especially proud of at Senscio Systems is our ability to predict future health outcomes from present self-care habits through the use of ScioTM, our proprietary inference engine. Let me elaborate. Scio can be thought of as a brain-in-a-box. It is continuously learning a patient’s habits as they interact with their CareStationTM and is infinitely extensible in what it can be taught to learn.
Do you have breakfast at 9 a.m. everyday? Scio can learn to predict that you will have breakfast at 9 a.m. on future days. Do you want to know if your diabetes medication is stabilizing your blood glucose level? Scio can be taught to know that these two things should be correlated. While the preceding examples are trivial, they shed light on how the same methodology can be used to predict more serious responses. In other words, and in a much more complex fashion, Scio can learn what it is about a patient’s daily life activities that causes, for example, a sharp decrease in blood glucose or an acute case of hypertension.
And at the end of the day, the beauty in this is our ability to prevent a person from going to the hospital even before their health starts to deteriorate.
