He subsequently went on to complete a course at the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts where he earned a certificate in web development. Since then, he has worked as a freelance web developer, developing data visualization and educational software on the side, while he continues to teach himself new things and expand into new areas of expertise. Chad pursues many eclectic studies while honing his creative skills on various technology related projects. |
Ami O'Grady

Ami O’Grady is a registered nurse with Senscio Systems, working “behind the scenes” to review and analyze Remote Physiological Monitoring (RPM) data for the Ibis Program. Ami collaborates with Ibis Member Advocates and Chronic Care Specialists to assure the health of our members remains well managed. Ami is a graduate of Rivier University’s nursing program and has dedicated nearly 20 years to the healthcare industry. She has worked with seniors in a variety of settings as a clinical nurse, reimbursement nurse, case manager and Director of Nursing Services. From inpatient settings to community care, Ami takes pride in diligently working to promote the Aging in Place model and brings strong clinical skills and a drive for quality to Senscio Systems. Ami is a proud recipient of the 2019 100 Top Healthcare Leaders Award, given in recognition for her contributions to healthcare. Ami has also been recognized by the LinkedIn community activation team as a Leader of Nursing for being a thought innovator and mentor to other nurses. Ami is a member of SONSIEL (Society of Nurse Scientist Innovators Entrepreneurs and Leaders) which promotes nurses as transformation agents who contribute to healthcare reform. Ami is also an avid volunteer within her community. She is on the board of the Chelmsford (MA) Council on Aging, chairs her town’s transportation committee, and is a member of the Age Friendly Committee. In her free time, Ami enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She can also be found going for a long run, gardening and restoring furniture. |
Ann Whitney

Ann Whitney is both a Care Navigator and Member Advocate with the Ibis Program. In her dual role, she not only sets up program plans for new members but also provides customer support to existing members so that they can remain healthy and independent at home for as long as possible. Ann came to Senscio with 30 years of experience as a primary grade teacher in the Weston (MA) public schools. She is excited to be learning new skills at Senscio while continuing to pursue her passion of making a difference in the lives of others. Ann received a BA in Psychology from Harvard University and a Masters of Elementary Education from the Bank Street College of Education in New York. Through her many years of teaching, Ann has worked with hundreds of young children and their families, and made it a priority to see each child as an individual with unique needs and aspirations. She brings this same passion to her work with adults through the Ibis Program at Senscio. Ann’s interests outside of work include organic vegetable gardening, downhill skiing, hiking, rowing on the Charles River, and spending time with her family in Franconia, NH as well as Long Lake in the Adirondacks. She and her husband Rick currently divide their time between Franconia and Harvard MA. They have one son, Erik, and a demanding Vizsla. |
Brenton Stoddart
Lead, Maine Ibis Programs READ More
Brenton is a graduate of Allegheny College where he received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Middle East and North African Studies. He joined Senscio Systems because he believes a move from episodic to continuous care for elderly with complex health needs is one of the many necessary culture shifts in America. His passion for social justice issues worldwide led to him spending five months in Jordan where he studied Arabic, Jordanian culture, and customs. Brenton works with college campuses and local churches to give presentations based on his experiences that humanize the Arab world to challenge rising Islamophobia in the United States. Brenton’s empathy for others is embedded in his work at Senscio. He provides a necessary human touch behind Senscio’s artificial intelligence solutions. Outside of work, Brenton can be found investigating a new interest or outside enjoying nature, preferably with family and friends. |
Erik Johnson

Erik is currently focused on supporting diversity and sustainability, in all forms. With a childhood passion for the stars, grown into a B.S. in Applied Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a concentration in astrophysics, Erik is keen to reflect on his place on Earth, and in the Universe. At Senscio, he supports these ideals by further refining Ibis into a platform capable of bringing independence and self sufficiency to every individual, regardless of complexity of care, geographic location, or socioeconomic background. Erik has been with Senscio since 2012, adapting to fill a variety of roles over the years. |
Gordon LaPoint

As an electronic technician, Gordon has broad experience with electronic systems of all kinds. Prior to Senscio Systems, Gordon worked at various medical systems companies, as a service engineer for CAT and MRI systems. He installed and maintained the CT scanners at many of the local area hospitals. Gordon also worked at Analogic Systems as a test engineer in the research and development department for new CT systems. Additionally, Gordon has done embedded controller and Linux systems programming. Gordon's hobbies include amateur radio with specialities in digital communications. |
Grace Ellrodt

Grace Ellrodt is a Member Advocate at Ibis. She looks forward to each call with her members, and views her interactions not only as dialogues on health goals but also lessons in history, hardship, grit and gratitude. She is humbled to share triumphs and trials with members who are working to improve their quality of life and the strength of their support systems. After growing up in a small town in Massachusetts, Grace graduated from Bates College with a BA in Environmental Studies, where she focused on the relationship between physical environment and public health. Her thesis project documenting older adults’ stories of how loneliness and connection impact their health led her to Ibis' doorstep. She is thrilled the door swung open to meaningful work and an exceptional team. Grace lives with her partner in Somerville (MA), where the two of them can be found biking aimlessly just before sunset, and dreaming of rescuing a dog. |
Jake Pugliese

Jacob is a graduate of Allegheny College where he received a B.S. in Neuroscience with a concentration in physiology and minored in Global Health Studies. After interning at Senscio Systems in the summer of 2015, he decided to return in 2018 to continue the mission of providing data driven healthcare to aging populations. Through internships at University at Buffalo and Allegheny College research, Jacob grappled with the fundamental functions behind our experience of reality, investigating the interaction of addictive drugs and the brain's channels and receptors. Jacob's passion for healthcare is drawn from his understanding of addiction and mental illness and a desire to mitigate the suffering caused by these conditions now affecting the United States in record numbers. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Jacob is a Sabres and Bills fanatic. When he's not cheering on his favorite sports teams you can find him snowboarding, playing soccer or visiting the newest craft brewery. |

Jodi Hawthorne is a Member Advocate, providing support to our Ibis Program members who are on their journey to stay healthy as they monitor their health from home. She is grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on her members day to day needs, providing them with the peace of mind in their pursuit of aging in place. She has had a lifelong desire for helping others in need, graduating from Fitchburg State College with a degree in Psychology. Prior to joining Senscio, she worked with the Information Technology department within a local Massachusetts school district, before joining the United States Department of Transportation, in the Transportation Planning Division. Jodi has enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics and The National Brain Tumor Society. In her spare time Jodi enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband Patrick have two children, and two dogs keeping them busy. When she is not bringing her kids to their various activities, Jodi enjoys walking, kayaking, hiking, and several nights a week she can be found attending boxing classes. |

Joy brings to Senscio Systems over 25 years of senior leadership experience building and leading diverse multi-site organizations throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Joy has vast experience in managing organizations, designing and executing innovative evidence –based services and bridging the gaps in services through partnership. She has subject matter expertise in managing long term support services which include healthcare services for individuals with chronic and complex medical conditions, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, behavioral health and co- occurring substance misuse, disability services, and social services. Prior to joining Senscio Systems, Joy ‘s experience has been in developing new service lines, strategic management, organizational structure alignment that has yielded value, service outcomes, and financial sustainability for mission driven organizations. She has managed the human resources, financial performance, contract development, compliance and risk management of various community-based service lines with complex funding sources. Joy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Franklin Pierce where she was nominated Who’s Who among American Colleges & Universities and the Woman who contributed the most to Franklin Pierce College. She earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Plymouth State University and is certified in Lean Systems - Black Belt level. Joy has years of community leadership experience, serving on boards of charitable organizations. Martha Livingston

Martha Livingston is both an Ibis Program Specialist and a Member Advocate. Martha calls prospective members when they express interest in learning about the program and she loves to spread the good news about how Ibis can help them stay independent and healthy at home. She answers questions and provides all the information needed to get started and once members are up and running, Martha is on the team that checks in regularly to provide support and encouragement. Martha graduated from Williams College with a degree in English and American Studies. Prior to joining Senscio Systems, she worked as a writer and editor and had an extensive career in the talent acquisition and recruitment industry. Martha launched an upholstery business but quickly discovered that she preferred to keep that activity as her hobby rather than her vocation. Her passion is for interaction and customer service. She strives to listen carefully and respond with kindness and compassion to each person she encounters. Martha lives in a cabin in the woods of rural Maine with her dog Pepper. She has played ice hockey for decades and enjoys skiing on water in the summer and on snow in the winter. |

She has a passion for making a difference in people’s lives and sharing her mantra that empowering people allows them to believe in their own capabilities and improve their quality of life. She graduated from Keene State College with a BA in Psychology and Music. She later attended University of Phoenix where she completed her Masters in Human Resource Management. She worked for several years as a special education paraprofessional and then as a recruiter and HR assistant in the tech industry. Merilee lives with her husband, Brian and their two sons. In her spare time, she can be found running her handmade craft business. She also loves playing and is the coach for a women’s softball league. When she is not creating something or playing ball, she can be found singing at open mic nights with her band. |
Max Chadran

Like many other members of the Senscio family, Maxwell Chadran grew up in Harvard, Massachusetts and attended Bromfield High School. As a youth, Max would attend Harvard's Unitarian Universalist Church, where him and his family would become good friends with CEO Piali De's family. After graduating high school in 2018, Max was offered a position as a graphic design intern at Senscio Systems and spent his days designing many of the icons seen in the Ibis Program's software. He would go on to attend Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts and continue to intern at Senscio Systems for another two summers. In 2020, Max decided to take a gap year from college and earned a full-time position as the Office Administrator. Some of his responsibilities include helping to organize the mailings, managing Senscio Systems' office space, and continuing to develop graphics for Ibis content. Max loves his job and, like many others at Senscio who started out like him, hopes to make big strides with his career at the company. In his spare time, Max loves to skateboard, draw and spend time with girlfriend, his two cats and two turtles. |
Shelby Monroe

Shelby Monroe is a Program Navigator at Ibis. She reaches out to new members to collect information and answer questions about the program. Shelby also requests records so Ibis Member Advocates and Chronic Care Specialists are properly equipped to assist in the care of each Ibis member. Shelby received a degree in English from University of Colorado, an MFA from University of Montana in Creative Writing, and an MSIS from SUNY Albany in Library Science. She spent many years as a librarian but happily made the move to Ibis because she strongly believes in the practice of supporting people by providing better healthcare at home. Shelby lives with her children and dogs and cats in Maine. She loves animals and the outdoors and will probably have adopted another dog or cat by the time you are reading this. |
Wendy Gignoux

Wendy Gignoux, APRN is a nurse practitioner who is certified in family practice. She graduated in the first class of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Maine at Orono in 1994 and practiced at a rural clinic for 25 years before retiring in 2019. Prior to her work in family medicine, Wendy worked as a nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Wendy enjoys her work in clinical support for the Ibis Program where she manages intakes of new members as well as ongoing clinical support for the members. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spinning, knitting and weaving and is also an avid gardener. |
Will Shepherd

Will received a BS in Computer Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. At the University Will focused on a more "general" degree, enabling him to develop a broader scope of all technologies. He also participated in hackathons, was a member of multiple technology clubs, and made the dean's list almost every semester. At Senscio, Will is the lead developer of IbisNexus, our care management portal. Through this experience, he is able to refine his problem solving and programming skills. When Will's not at work you'll find him cooking on the grill, touring a new brewery, or traveling with friends. |
